Chores can be a massive pain. But when you’re moving in a week, some things have to be done. Since I am going to the Concord Carlisle High school, I am moving to concord. I have only moved once in my life, but I was young so I didn’t have to worry about packing and chores. Now that I am moving again, my sisters and I have a ton of chores to do.

My mom made my sisters do a lot of work at first so I was able to catch up with my schoolwork, but once the weekend came around, chores were really the only thing I had to do all weekend. Every day since we started packing has been different. I’ve had to decide which clothes to donate to Goodwill, I’ve had to go around the house to try to find stuff of mine to keep, and stuff to throw away. I’ve been cleaning out my room a lot, I’ve been doing more chores that don’t involve moving so my parents can pack too, everything is chaotic everyday. I always groan when I hear my parents say “C’mon Drew you have to get more packing done!” Or, “Drew you’ve been goofing off all day time to get some work done!” The list goes on. It’s always super annoying when your relaxing and then your mom comes over and tells you to do a truckload of chores, and then your dad gets pissed at you because apparently I was supposed to be doing something else at the same time.

I’ve always been confused on why my parents get so angry so suddenly, but then something came to my mind. My parents have a lot of stress on their hands with all of the money their spending and all of the work their putting into moving into a suitable house. Talking back to them just makes it worse. The only important thing is to get the job done.

Chores can be really annoying to do and they can take a lot of manual labor, but once you get the job done, it will all be over soon.

I liked what you wrote in the third paragraph, and how you talked about stress. I also liked your theme.

Fitz...

Moving and having children are the two great stressors in the lives of adults. It is nice to see you understand this. Great piece here. It is a lively and full of insights and descriptive language.
