Power of Friendship

True brother
Friendship is a responsibility, not an opportunity
~ Brainy quote
Everyone needs a true brother. And for me this true brother is my best friend Brenden, He has been there for me through thick and thin, from taking the blame to saving me the last slice of pizza. But one moment stands out from the rest. It was a dark and cold night, about a month ago. Me and about four of my childhood friends were a block away from one of their houses in which we were sleeping over that night. We were walking around the neighborhood, for a late night stroll. When we turned on to a block with no street lights, it was like looking into a black hole, there was zero, at all. One of my buddies decided that it would be a funny idea to ditch me, so I would have to walk in the dark alone, considering I had a broken knee and couldn’t run. They took off like rockets. And when the dust settled, Brendan was the one only one who stayed behind.
I didn’t have to second guess, I knew he would be there. I know that what happened isn’t all that exiting, but to me there was a deeper meaning than Brendan not going with the rest of the group. It meant that Brendan will be there for me even when it is something small like what I just talked about. I new I could rely on Brendan to not run away, because that’s the type of bond me and him have made over the years, and I know I always can rely on him.
Pain of Chores
05/28/2020
- “Pleasure in the job puts perfection in the work.” – Aristotle.
Labor can be hard and painful, but chores are excessive. in my house, chores are considered a part of life. Which I believe is a load of crap. Your house is a place where you get time off from work, not another place where you can take out the trash and clean a table.
It was a late Monday afternoon, probably around three. My mom was driving me home from school after one of the worst, hardest meanest and tiring days of my life. I was so joyfully looking forward to arriving at my house, bolting upstairs and laying on my nice squishy bed. As a daydreamed out the window, I could hear my mom talking to my lifeless body about something. Soon we got to my house, and right before I could even take a step into the house I heard “Andrew could you help me with something.”
After finishing helping my mom bring in the groceries, I thought that I could slip away before she could catch me and make me do more of her pointless work. I was to slow, she caught sight of me walking towards the stairs and stuck like a lion to it prey, I had to go play with the dog outside for thirghty minutes. That meant thirghty more minutes of not sleeping. I threw an old tennis ball to the end of my yard and waited from my dog to bring it back, hoping I wouldn’t pass out due to exhaustion. Thirghty minutes passed and I walked back indoors. I was like a spy trying not to be seen and not to touch any of the seniors, that’s when it happened, I mindlessly stepped on the one creeky stair. My mom instantly head it and called for me to come help make dinner. I had failed the mission, I got caught and now had to pay the price by making dinner.
That night I might of gotten the best night of sleep in the history of history, but that is the only pro that comes with the many cons of doing chores. Many will say that although chores are hard and annoying, they accomplish many tasks so that you don’t have to do them later. But I say that they are just hard and annoying. Chores are just doing other people’s work for them, so they don’t have to do it themselves. Chores might be the most pointless thing ever created.
Hard work can lead to many successful, but they also lead to many failures, chores leads to failure
A Solitary Walk

In every walk in with nature one receives far more than he seeks.

In the distance I see a purple-blue cloud that is about to ruin this nice, peaceful and beautiful day. It will tuck the sun away, and cast out a dark, damp and gross mood. So I might as well enjoy the day while it lasts. It was a sunny Wednesday afternoon, school had just ended. My mom told me to go outside and get come fresh air. As I slipped on my dirty shoes and headed out, I realized that my dog Hunter was also exited to tag along. I went into the garage and picked out a blue and orange basketball and got to work.
I could hear, smell and see that spring was here. The birds high up in the trees chirping at each other having a conversation, the freshly bloomed flowers that gave off a sweet candy like scent and the bright sunny day with a slight chilling breeze were all indications that spring was here. My plan was to throw the ball off the hot cement have it bounce off the backboard and have my throw it down last second. Of course it took me a few tries, but it looked cool when I finally got it. Up in the sky I could see a red tail hawk stalking it’s prey, looking for a plump mouse to have for lunch. I could hear my neighbors grass being cut, it felt like he was cutting grass all day due to the noise.
Now the reason I’m writing this blog post is not because I saw a hawk, lawnmowers and me dunking. It is because I believe people need to enjoy nature more, and what better time of year than in spring. We spend so much of our day inside looking at a screen and picturing an imaginary world, when all we have to do is take one step outside and enjoy. I also wrote this blog post because it was on the weekly assignment sheet, but that’s besides the point.
Power of Music

Without music, life would be a mistake
~Friedrich Nietzsche.
We all need to slip away from our problems and worries in life. One of the most effective ways I do this in my day to day life is through the power of music. Most late evenings seem to be the time I just plug in and escape the stress flowing through my mind. I shut my eyes and imagine myself weightless, flying high in the night sky.
Sitting in my bed, all alone, from the time of five to ten at night with the lights out. Grinding away at my math homework for the night getting worried about each answer I put down, thinking about review in class tomorrow. After procrastinating long enough, I put on my headphones, lay dow and shut my eyes. The thought of homework leaves my mind, and a world of imagination comes to life. Time flies by when your in peace, I can tell you from experience. But back to work I go but, with a functional, open and calm mindset.
Listing to music while not doing work can be an effective tool for those who get distracted easily because, it calms you and helps you focus once you get back to work.
Without a desert from reality, we are lost
WW Fenn Reflection

Sundays too my father got up early
And put his clothes on in the blueback cold,
then with cracked hands that ached
from labor in the weekday weather made
banked fires blaze. No one ever thanked him.
I'd wake and hear the cold splintering, breaking.
When the rooms were warm, he'd call,
and slowly I would rise and dress,
fearing the chronic angers of that house,
Speaking indifferently to him,
who had driven out the cold
and polished my good shoes as well.
What did I know, what did I know
of love's austere and lonely offices?
reflection: the reason I chose this piece is because, I want to recognize all the hard work that my parents do, that goes unnoticed. This poem highlights the hard work that my parents do while I’m sleeping or not at home, by describing how the father get up early on the weekends, with his aching hands and determination to provide his son with the best life possible. I hope to inspire the class to recognize their parents as well.
Little Sleep, Little Peep

Sleep is sleep~brainyqute
I know that as your reading this sentence, you are fighting off an internal push that has been telling you to pass out right here right now, but you know that you are unable to because, of the consequences you might face. There was one memorable moment where I could no longer resist the temptation, and I had to shut my eyes for just a little. It was around six o’clock I on a dry and cold wintry night. I had just finished a hard, long and painful day at school. As i arrived at the barbershop, my drowsy eyes nearly guided me off to sleep, before i got in the door.
As I sat down on the black leather chair, I felt ay last energy that was keeping me awake leave my body like a train leaving the station. It was only a matter of time now. As my barber started slicing my hair from my head it felt like a soothing head pat, which was not helping me. I could feel it, I was slipping. And “BOOM” I was out like a sack of rocks. I woke some time later t the barber tapping me on my shoulder to wake me.
Now I know that I am not the only person in this perfect world who has fallen to the never ending battle of staying awake. In this certain experience, thankfully nothing tragic happened to my “golden locks”. But imagine that instead of your barber waking you it is your angry boss awaiting your 3 week late paper. What I’m saying is you should try to stay awake if your know the consequences will be fatal.
To perform at your best during your time of labor, you must take the extra 5 minutes.
Memories Made

Memories make us~brainy quote
Life without memories is like a car without wheels; it is pointless without being able to look back on the best, most formative parts. Some you want to forget, but those are the most important part, memories are what shape up and impact our decisions.
I’m my case, I have one memory that will always be with me, and influence my decisions. It is one that most kids like me have, but there is a deeper message in my story.
The day was bright with color, you could smell the fresh pollen in the air. My dad and I both had on matching Hawaiian shirts, with colorful bright blue flowers on them. He was teaching me how to ride a bike on just two wheels. At first, i thought it wouldn’t be possible and that i would immediately crash and hurt myself. The doubts in my head were keeping me from even getting on the bike, but after about 30 minutes of convincing me my dad finally gave me the courage to get on the bike and give it a try. As i climbed up to the top of the bike, i could feel the bike wobbling like a tree in the wind. My dad brought me down to the bottom of the driveway where the ground was level, and told me to stay as steady as possible. The plan was that after he gave me a push i would have to start pedaling to have enough speed. When i heard the word “speed” i felt butterflies in my stomach. Before i had the chance to second guess my decision, i was off. I felt my dad’s hands leave my back as i grew further and further from him.
This memory has stuck with me through the years, because it taught me to not second guess and doubt myself. My head prevented me from getting up on that bike for years, but once i looked back on it, the only thing that was stopping me was me.

In this video you will experience me and the squad getting a legendary win on fortnite. My squad consists of Kal a.k.a Censedmoth, Finn a.k.a Finnmh and me Deylayed snail. We will embark on a dangerous mission and risk our lives while fighting the enemy go come out victorious. 100 players enter in the game and only 4 get to leave with their lives.
I have learned that life can be like fortnite, its not always easy and it can get hard, but after a little determination and practice your will finally get the “victory royal.” Sometimes in life you will lose someone close to you and you will have to go on without them, or you will not make the cut like on a sports team or a job, and you will have to have faith and be proud of the other person who made it. But in the end you will sacrifice all that you have and put your best out there and i promise you that you will make it.

Summer Trips
Friendships last a lifetime
~ brainy quote
we all have a special friend who joins us in the journey of life.
In my journey, Brendan and I have been ridin together for longer than I can remember. The warm humid air whistles through soaked head. The peach colored sunset over the shallow intercoastal made the scene that much more fun. Me and Brendan, sitting in the bed of a Ford F-150 rental flyin over the historic bridge, down on the coast of North Carolina. It was mid July, me and my friend Brendan went down south to North Carolina to have some fun on the beach. We had been dying to get down there. Once we got our rental car and we saw that it was a pickup truck we both flipped. As both of us begged our parents to let us ride in the back. Ten minutes later we were flying down the street with the wind in our faces. This experience has stuck with me for many years, when I read the prompt I immediately thought of this experience. Although in this scene me and Brendan where physically riding together, we have been riding through life together ever since. Brendan is a true brother to me, and we will continue to ride through life together.
