Narrative Paragraph

The Importance Of Family

-Unknown

The people you can always count on. Family are the people that catch you when you fall. When my sports team loses and my head is held low, my family is there to pick me back up.        After the loss in the soccer game, my head was held low and I did not want to talk about the game. Although, my parents knew a big milkshake would help me cheer up.

Tom Sawyer

The Tom Sawyer In Me

603124D8-7A4B-4610-9AA0-A0938F365093

The character Tom Sawyer, from the book The Adventures Of Tom Sawyer, is a very brave and sneaky character. He manages to get away with anything he does and weasels out of things, he also know how to stand up for himself but, he may get a little too cocky at times. An example of this is when he was very confident while fighting the other boy although, he did end up winning the fight, he has to be careful with his confidence if he ever chooses the wrong fight. The way Tom Sawyer relates to me is when he gets himself out of trouble in clever ways. When I was younger I used to get in a lot of trouble, it may have been at school or at home,I would shout out in class and really just do dumb things which ended up badly for me. Although, a lot of the time I manage to find excuses to true yet very dumb, but I manage to make it believable.

I remember when I would get in trouble sometimes at school, whether it was for a good reason or not, I would find the perfect excuse that either got me into less trouble, or totally out of trouble. I specifically remember one time when a teacher got a little bit frustrated because I “always manage to weasel out of things.” That is one of my best examples of being sneaky just like Tom Sawyer, I may have not used the types of excuses he does like when he said “look behind you!” And then ran away, but I got myself out of things differently. Tom is very clever, and I think I have a little bit of that inside me, sometimes I can’t work my way out of things but it happens, I wonder if Tom will ever experience something he can not escape from, will his aunt get him really in trouble once? I am not sure if he will get into something bad that he can not get out of but I have a feeling that will happen in the book. The Tom Sawyer is strong within me.
