Writing can always be improved

After a long time of practicing, our work will become natural, skillfull, swift, and steady. ~ Bruce Lee

At the start of the year I remember going into fitz’s class with no idea on how to write a good writing piece at all because I had never really been into a mainly writing English class. This meant that I was not prepared for the year that I was going to take on.

Empathy and marginalization

Empathy, bigotry and marginalization

never judge someone just by their differences

A20B761C-E8B0-4099-8586-3570B0E02624the highest form of knowledge is empathy~Bill Bullard

Never exclude because of their differences. I got paired up with 2005 players during soccer practice and they excluded me and I didn’t play much. This was during the end of practice when we always scrimmage and we get paired up into teams of five with one sub, so the 2005’s decided to exclude me and not put me in a lot.

Power of Friendship

The Power of Friendship

you can still have fun with little differences

“A real friend is one who walks in when the rest of the world walks out.”
~ Walter Winchell

Small differences doesn’t mean you still can’t have fun. Sam Goorno and I skied and had very small differences in our skiing styles, but still had a lot of fun. Sam and I took our last hill down after 8 hours of skiing until the night skiing started and had fun the whole day even though we skied a little bit different. Then we had to wait for night skiing to start because we were having so much fun skiing, so we kept going. So Sam and I ended up sitting in the lodge at Sunday River waiting for the wheel chair to start up during a long weekend in the winter.

adventures can be risky, but very fun.

Adventure is worthwhile in itself~Amelia Earhart

I quickly zip through the trees as I try to scramble to my knees through the flowing water as I am having the time of my life.

It’s the march break in 2018 and my two brothers and I are ready to hit the Atlantis water park with my dad who was going to come with us, but my mom wanted to get a drink at the bar before she came.

Through the tunnel reflection

through the tunnel reflection

do things well, or don’t do it.

A5CC53E4-B0C0-4AB7-9859-16B03FF69275“There's doubt in trying. Just do it or stop thinking.~ Toba Beta

Iyour going to do something, do it well. During this reading I had to really work on it and not just try to speed through it. reading the short story through the tunnel I learned that actually understanding a reading and annotating it well is better than just reading it to get it over with. This assignment made me be more engaged in my reading even though I though a lot of times I thought it was boring.

A Slice of Life

When you lose, come back stronger

Everyone has the fire, but the champions know when to ignite the spark~Amit Ray

5, 4, 3, he shoots it, 2, will it go in? As will Hatten, will Gaynor, teddy and I walk to second period we talk about where we will meet up after class for recess. We have been in a basketball series since early in the year and the teams are me and Will Gaynor vs Teddy and Will Hatten. For some reason we take the games serious to the point where each team has actually made plays, so each game counts because we have been in a series and it is tied. Once second period ends we all meet in the gym early after class, so we have a long time to play. Each team has very different play styles because Will Gaynor and I are probably more skilled than them, but they are way taller than us, so it is really hard for us to get a rebound.

Solitary Walk

Look Around

“The clearest way into the Universe is through a forest wilderness.” ~ John Muir

Rain droplets are falling from the green trees as I zip around on the board ways through the misty forest. I look over to the mossy pond and see nothing, but then when I take a closer look I notice that I see a lot of frogs and toads.
