Look Around
“The clearest way into the Universe is through a forest wilderness.” ~ John Muir
Rain droplets are falling from the green trees as I zip around on the board ways through the misty forest. I look over to the mossy pond and see nothing, but then when I take a closer look I notice that I see a lot of frogs and toads.
I have been running almost everyday recently, so I knew that I could do this assignment pretty easily because I like to look around at the nature next to me when I run. I am a pretty adventurous guy and I love the rain, so on a rainy Thursday afternoon I decided to go for a decent sized run that I haven’t gone on yet. Usually I do a loop shaped run, but instead this time I wanted to go through the woods, so I planed out to take a left into the Acton arboretum.
After stretching I started to head off into the start of my run, but during this run I made sure to really see the stuff around me and how cool the nature is. As I was running on my normal route I thought I wouldn’t notice anything different, but I did, I noticed that someone put a creepy mask in one of their windows to make it look like someone’s was looking at you. As I got close to the arboretum I was getting excited to see all of the cool animals and I wanted to see come cool colored plants. As I headed into the woods that first thing I that I see are these cool purple flowers that are thriving in the rain, then I keep going and see a little pond next to a board way. Inside the pond I thought there were a lot of sticks, but I was mistaken because those sticks were home to many frogs and toads. I was so happy to know that looking around and noticing things can make a run so much better. As I headed out of the woods I was amazed at how cool all of the plants looked in the rain, turns out looking around really does show you how cool our world really is.
I feel like people don’t appreciate how significant and amazing the world we live in is. I think that people should start to look around whenever there outside or out of there window if they want to because we live on a beautiful planet and we need to acknowledge it. Life is a big journey and you never know when it might end, so look Around and take it all in.
If you are reading this, the next time you go outside, look around, you never know what you might find.
Wow, I really agree that we have to get out more and see the world, especially nature. I love the stricter of this and how one thing flowers into the next.

I can definitely agree that we need to see the world more clearly and the structure of this is really good. Nice job.

This piece shows how much more we need to cherish and love our planet and you Finn summed it up perfectly in this sentence, “I feel like people don’t appreciate how significant and amazing the world we live in is.“ This was what stood out to me. Wonderful Job Finn,

I liked this essay a lot overall, and I like how you concluded it with telling us to go outside and see what we can find. Nice job
