Quarantine

Journal Entry #1

”I’ll get that American Shiitake Mushroom!”

-Russian Soldier, 1933

I have spent the past 2 weeks in quarantine, and although it has gotten pretty boring, it is certainly better than getting sick. I won’t explain my daily routine, since it is rather uneventful, and is pretty similar to whatever everyone else is doing right now, so instead I’ll talk about something no one else is; The Soviet Slasher. It is one of the best films of this decade, and was painstakingly created by filmmakers who are experts at their craft, and know what they are doing, I won’t link the film here, but it is what it sounds like. A man is captured by Soviets and sent to a Gulag, where he then becomes the Slasher of Soviets, feared thorough the USSR. This movie easily receives a 10/10. Not only is its riveting plot a complete masterpiece, but the films acting is also the best of it’s genre. The planned sequel for the voie has sadly been postponed due to the pandemic, but it serves as a reminder of how things were before the world became a cesspool of fear and paranoia. Stay tuned for the next entry.
