Cunning and Courage

You can't accomplish something without courage.

“Take courage, my heart: you have been through worse than this. Be strong, saith my heart; I am a soldier; I have seen worse sights than this.”

~Aiden LaCamera

It’s a hot sunny day and the sign up sheets for the school president elections were just put up. Everyone was talking about it and nobody really knew who they were going to run with. I didn’t even think I was going to run. But I gave it some thought and I decided what could go wrong at least I should try.

After searching and searching for somebody to run with me I finally found Justin and we decided to run together. This was a long process as we were required to do lore of campaigning and speech writing. It took a lot of time and effort.

And on election day I was super nervous. I mean speaking in front of the whole school sounded terrifying and it seemed like it took a lot of courage and it definitely did.   We did a good job delivering our speech and it was up to the voters to decide our fate. We ended up losing and it was a tough loss. It didn’t settle well with me and it took some time to realize the amount of courage it took for me to do that.

You win some and you lose some thats life.
