Chores!

My hate of gardening
“There is nothing more fatal to character
than half finished tasks”
-David Lloyd George
Chores are something most do. I wouldn’t call many things chores but more of just expectations. There’s one thing that is a chore for me, and that is doing the plant sale with my mom's garden club.
Its dusk on a Friday as me and my friend load cars with plants. Those plants would soon be put into the old stable in my town, to be moved again out of the stables the next day.
Me and my friend wake up at around 5:45 to get in the car and go straight to town hall. When we arrive we slowly get to the stables with wagons that could give you tetanus from you standing to close to them, and we begin to pull parts of large tables to the green. As we set up each table one by one, some more people show up with even more plants. Once the tables are set up we drag old dirty colored table clothes t cover them, and then the trailer arrives. We take it off the car it was attached to and fill it to the brim with shrubs and trees. As we push the raider from the road and up to the green it starts slipping down the hill. Because it rained last night the tires had little traction on the grassy hill and it started to slide. Time slowed down as we went to stop it from going into the road, and it sped up soon enough when we managed to stop it. Throughout that day, we would deliver hundreds of plans and then put away the same tables and wagons and be finished.
While constant moving of plants from pone place and back is a tedious task, and a pretty boring one, it isn’t so bad. Im not the biggest fan of gardening but I can see why others do enjoy it. Chores in general can be pretty mundane, but more times than not you can step back and look at the work you accomplished and feel a bit of pride.
At the end of the day chores can turn into hobbies if you try hard enough.
I really liked how you were honest and completely straight with it. I feel like if my blog post was about chores I would try and make it sound much better than it is, nice job!

I really like the way you ended this writing piece. I totally agree with what you said at the end in which "Chores, in general, can be pretty mundane, but more times than not you can step back and look at the work you accomplished and feel a bit of pride. At the end of the day chores can turn into hobbies if you try hard enough."
