How to fix a flat bike tire

D971217C-6254-4A8B-ADDD-CECC71F1B455
Today I popped the back tire of my bike for the second time this month. Since I popped my back tire twice I have learned how to fix it. So I would like to teach you how to fix your popped back tire on your bike.

The first part of fixing a flat bike tire is taking the wheel off the bike. The way that you do this is unscrew the quick release Axle from your bike then if it is the back tire you take off the chain from the gears and pull the tire out. Next you use A tire tool to takeoff one side of your tire. You use the tire tool to break the seal between the rim and the tire. Once you have done that you pull the inner tube out of the tire.

The second part of fixing a flat back tire is to find the hole. One way to find the hole is to pump up your tire and listen and feel for air escaping your tire. The second and more effective way to find a hole in your tire is to put your tire into a bucket of water and see where bubbles come out of your tire because where there are bubbles coming out that is where the hole is. The last step to finding the hole is to draw a circle around it with a sharpie.

The last step of fixing a popped bike tire is to patch the hole. The first thing you do to patch the hole is sand the area around the whole just a little bit. Once you have sanded you should use a Clorox wipe to wipe away the dirt from the inner tube. After the liquid left behind by the Clorox wipe has evaporated you should put on the tired glue over the surface of where you have sanded. After the tire glue has dried you should put the patch on and press it down very well.

From reading this I hope you have learned how to fix a popped bike tire.

Livermore Leap Vs. Emerald Pool

I will be comparing two swing holes

In the last two days I have gone to to swimming holes. The first one I went to is called Livermore Leap and the second one is called Emerald Pool. I will be comparing the two of them to figure out which one is better.

Livermore Leap is a swimming hole on the Sawyer River near Bartlett New Hampshire. The hike into Livermore Leap is very steep and you have a high chance of slipping. Once you get down to the river there’s a very strong current. The water is pretty cold. The first thing I did when I got there is jumping off a small rock. Once I had done that I Wanted to do the big cliff jump. When I got to the top of the cliff I was kind of scared. But I knew I had done bigger jumps. I jumped and it was a pretty fun jump. The cliff is about 20 feet tall and the water below it is pretty deep. Overall Livermore Leap is a pretty good place to swim.

Emerald Pool is a swimming hole near wildcat ski resort. The parking for Emerald Pool is very good because there is a lot of it. The hype down it’s very short but it is also steep. The first thing you will notice when you first see the water is that it looks green that is why it is called Emerald Pool. The water at Emerald Pool is pretty warm for a river. Sometimes there’s a strong current if there has just been a lot of rain if not there’s not much current. There are also two cliff jumps the smaller one is about 12 feet and the bigger one is about 17 feet.

I think both swimming holes are very good places to swim. They both have their pros and cons. Like Livermore Leap has a big cliff jump but the water is kinda cold. Emerald Pool has just the right sized cliff jumps but there are more people. At the end of the day I have to pick a favorite and I would have to go with Emerald Pool because it has good cliff jumps and the water is generally warmer.

I hope that you learned A lot about two of New Hampshire’s swimming holes.

How to Build a Dirt Jump

I will try to teach you how to build a dirt jump

“There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve: the fear of failure.”

― Paulo Coelho, The Alchemist

I like to build dirt jumps so I will teach you how to do it. In order for you to build a dirt jump you’ll need a few things. The first thing you need is a shovel. Do you use a shovel to shape and move the dirt. The second and last thing you will need is a source of water. This could be a hose or a watering can.
