It was the getting close to the end of winter, and I thought to myself, that I spend to much time watching videos and playing games on my phone. So I tried to get a new hobby. All the ones my mom suggested seemed boring and not special. I feel like so many people do these common hobby’s that my mom suggested, and I wanted to be different and have something cool and fun. 

One day during Latin class, we had the last 20 minutes free to do other work, and I saw my friend Nicky photoshopping something. I finished all my homework so I decided to watch him. Although the “meme” he was making wasn’t finished, the punch line was there, so it was funny. I laughed, and asked him how he made it. He did a very brief tutorial on how to make them, and I instantly got interested. So before sports started, I asked him if he could help me make one, he agreed and we started making the meme. after a few minutes, we got the layout down, I saw that I was a bit late to sports, so I hurried. During wrestling practice it was hard to pay attention; for I was so eager to keep working on the meme. When I got home, I spent many hours working on it and called Nicky asking for my advice, and finally after a few hours a finished it, and posted it on a reddit (a social media platform where you can post memes and tons of other stuff.) Although my meme only got about 700 likes (which isn’t too much) it was the experience, and fun making it that really counts. 

This was a really great moment, because now it has started an activity for me to do for the past couple weeks. Making memes and having a lot of fun. Nicky could’ve just left me alone, and could’ve not answered my calls for help, but instead he was a good friend who decided to help someone out and that was a great thing that he did.

Because after all, thats what friends are for.
