Mario Odyssey and stories

doing something you love

Let me paint you the picture, I’m sitting in my cozy closet/work place. I’m listening to an audiobook while playing a peaceful game called Mario Odyssey. I love this game and it is amazing. It is a story game where you create moon shards to Fuel your ship called the odyssey. The reason I like the game is the mood and vibe it has. Whenever I play the game, I become peaceful and attached to the game. There is no violence involved and no guns, blood, or inappropriate parts. It is so calming yet so much fun. When you get a moon shard, the dopamine is so high and you get so happy, I’m telling you this game is magical.

I appreciate the effort in the game and the vast gameplay the game gives you. It is like an endless birthday, a endless amount of surprises and gifts the game has to offer. The average time it takes someone to beat the game is about 20 hours. Yet there is hours and hours of more time that the game has waiting for you. And during all of this fun, I have my iPad playing stories from YouTube, no video just audio and its great. I can focus on the game and listen to peaceful stories and I love it. I’m making the best of this horrible situation were in.

Find something peaceful to do a game, hobby, anything.

Journal entry #2

I really like the trail in the back of our yard, its the start of a big trail leading to a pond and a couple roads, its very peaceful and take 30 minutes walks there often. It’s a good place to reflect, clear your head, and just think. There is a small pond that I sometimes go fishing on its called beaver pond and is really beautiful. But the best part of the walk is the woods in general. Just looking up you can see colossal trees hovering over you like a sky scraper and I actually like it when its windy and cloudy because it has a mood that I like.

I really like being alone on this walk. I use it as my alone time and don’t really like walking with other people. As it isn’t as special and meaningful when your with other people. The good thing about it is that there’s multiple paths and routes you can take so your not forced to go a certain distance every time. Some days I go longer some days shorter but it’s all up to what I want to do.

Spend some time outside, make sure you have some alone time, and have time to think and reflect.

Times are tough, and there’s no way around it. This is not what the world was ready for, and it is the most damaging event in the last decade. We need to be optimistic and stay positive; the truth to this virus right now is that we don’t have a full answer yet. All these questions popping up inside our worried brains don’t have a solution; yet we have to just stay calm and stay safe. And even though these are tough times it shouldn’t get in the way of your life and you should try your best to still spend time with others and be the same person you already were.

And now more than ever should we remain close to our family and pursue the hobbies you love. This is the time where your at home for the whole day and should try new things treat you never had before read a book, try cooking, go on walks or exercise. We don’t know when this virus ends so we have to occupy ourselves with things to do, to remain healthy and entertained. And although were tucked away from each other like a kid in the timeout chair, this shouldn’t prevent us from being ourselves and staying happy.

No matter where you are, no matter what your doing, remember that people care about you and that you matter; be yourself and stay solid.

“I get by with a little help from my friends”

-the Beatles

Friends are great at bringing you out of your comfort zone. They encourage you, comfort you, and persuade you to do whatever they want you to try out. Whenever I’m trying a new sport out or finding a new hobby, my friends are always there for support.

Montana

A place like no other

“Everyone’s got somewhere they call home”

-Roger Waters

To find inner peace, you must go to place that brings peace. A place where you feel alone and isolated, a place to reflect, a place thats your own. My place is far out in Montana, at the top of a steep mountain looking below at horses, dogs and cows.

It was me and my family on a mountain in Montana after biking all the way up. It was right after a hard journey with difficult hills, and it was so relaxing to be up there. I walked about 20 yards away from my family, and sat down and looked at the most beautiful view Ive seen.

I loved this trip me and my family went on! Although I didn’t spend much time up on the mountain, I still enjoyed in sincerely, and hope that I can go back there another time. It was such an awesome view, and relaxing few moments, and it made such a memorable experience

This is the place I go

“things are never quite as bad when you’ve got a best friend”

-Bill Waterson

The greatest experiences are the ones with your friends. And at my sleep way camp, I grew great bonds with the people there and the outcome was a lot of fun experiences. Up in New Hampshire there was tons of activities to do. Me and my friends did everything together, and it got us closer. And even if we compete against each other and were rivals, in the end we were all friends.

The Impact of an Older Brother

How much they can do

“Brothers are what best friends can never be.”

-anonymous

You look up to the older people in your life. Whether it’s an older kid at school, or even a big brother, they are someone you strive to become, and want to impress. As a kid we are all impressionable, if someone we consider, “awesome” or “cool” does something, we will most likely follow. But now as I am a big brother to my little brother johnnie, I now feel like the older person that I used to look up to.

An Experience with a Friend

what friends are for

CC00867F-33BE-41E7-A8AE-5680515CD192“no act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted”

Friends are there to stick up for you. And whenever people make fun of me for my stuttering issue, my friend Charlie is always there for me. If a kid was teasing me, Charlie would tell him to stop and that its not funny. Without help like that my years at fenn would’ve been much harder.

Empathy

Happiness with my friends as we drink Koolaid

“If you build the guts to do something, anything, then you better save enough to face the consequences.”-anonymous

Empathy is an essential core value. Empathy is caring for others and standing up for someone when no one else is. When someone is picking on someone else, you have to step up and make it right. Because if you don’t, the bullies wont stop and it will be an endless cycle. There was one time at my old school, where an older kid was picking on a kid in my grade. It was football season, and we were playing football when an older kid started calling my friend names. My friend missed a pass and thats when it started. Another teammate on his team who was an older kid, called him out for it and gave him a mean name. Everyone shared worried looks, as we knew our friend was going to get bullied. Then there was another play where the same thing happened, but this time the older kid called him a faggot. There was then complete silence, until one kid told him to stop. Then all of a sudden everyone agreed and told him that it wasn’t cool. Now he was outnumbered, and he then knew that he should do that again. This story is so important, because this was the first time anyone stood up and told him off. Previous to this incident, he would call many kid other names and insult them on there looks, clothes and athletic ability. This was a great moment for everyone who had been bullied by him, because after this experience he stopped and we defeated the biggest bully at our school.

Empathy is so important because if you have someone who cares for you, you will feel safe, you will feel important, and you will feel like your at home.

Blues song

my horrible blues song

The reason I made this song was because of what I did one November morning. And what I did was grabbing a banjo and trying to play it. Although I’m not necessarily good I still really enjoy it. And as I kept playing, I got a bit better, and it then became a common thing to play everyday in advisory. The main reason I like it though, is that like other instruments it takes your minds off everything else. And thats what the banjo does to me, and thats why I wrote a blues song on it.
