The question is not what you look at, but what you see. - Henry David Thoreau

There are many different things that make up the Essence of a Community, the Power of Place, and the Value of Stewardship. At the Fenn School, many different things make up the Essence of a Community. At the Fenn School, the Essence of the Community is made up of many different things. It's the glue that keeps it sticking together like the marshmallow mix in Rice Krispie treats. There is the administration team that keeps the students coming in so that there is even a community to have. There is the development office that foresee where the community is going and how to adapt and grow with the fast changing community in the best way possible. Finally, there is the administration team, that make the decisions on how the school will best run smoothly on the day to day. Weather that's calling or snow day, setting a delay, or changing a schedule. They are apart of making the Essence of the Community at the Fenn School.

The Power of Place at the Fenn School is the campus being  located in Concord,Massachusetts. The Fenn School is located  in a suburban town called Concord,Massachusetts. It is surrounded by a community filled with kind, and caring people who many are associated or know someone that is associated with the Fenn School in some sort of way. This is important because it helps set the tone of the school community and it brings awareness to how the school wants to be perceived. The white buildings of Fenn and the clean cut grass share the Power of care and are an attribute to the school’s reputation.  The Power of Place is also set by the teachers, faculty and students surrounding the school. Without the people within the place, there would be no use for the place and it probably wouldn’t exist to this day. The people surrounding the white buildings and all the different areas of campus on a day in and day out basis help to keep the campus alive and buzzing while putting the real power in the place at The Fenn School.

Finally, the Value of Stewardship at The Fenn School is set by the teachers. Without the teachers, the school would be all over the place. Students wouldn't have classes to attend to, assignments to turn in, and an education to have. Although they aren't seen as the head of school, without the teachers, it would be impossible to even have the school open! Overall, there are many many different attributes that make The Fenn School we all know it to be today. Without the teachers, staff, administration, and students. There would be no Fenn School to go to!

Great writing Henry I’m very impressed! Let me start of by saying I really like how you incorporated some humor into some great writing like when you said. “The essence of Community is made up of many different things, Its the glue that keeps it sticking together like the marshmallow mix in the Rice Krispy Treats.” Besides the humor this was a very well written piece and one of the best I’ve read today. For this assignment I can tell you didn’t just do the work yet you brought your writing to life, well done this was a great piece!

Nice job. I really liked how you perceived Fenn as a whole. And the different contributions of the community and how necessary they all are.

Henry, nicely done incorporating Fenn to the values of community, stewardship, and power of place. Loved how you brought true life to your Essay by adding some humor and relatable situations. Well written, great job mate.

Nice job henry! You made a good reflection and integrated Fenn very well into your paragraph. You added some fun humor, and used some good analogies. It seems you repeated a few sentences, and had some comma errors, but ignoring that the pice flows well. Good job bringing it to a conclusion, showing how the community is important to us in order to go to school. Good relfection!

Great writing Henry, I really liked how you had lots of example and how you talked about how important each person at Fenn is to the community. I also really liked how you talked about the different parts of the staff that help keep the community what it is.

Nice job, Henry! I really liked your Rice Krispies analogy in the first paragraph. Overall good essay.

Nice job, I liked your analogy at the beginning. I also liked how you explained what all three things meant with an example.

Nice job Henry, one part about this that I liked a lot was that at the end of each paragraph you had an interesting final sentence which kept me interested. There was also an analogy you used about Rice Krispies and the marshmallow that keeps it together, that was very creative.
