Reflection of “some kids are playing zombie tag”

In the book Crows and Swallows I read a poem named “Some Kids Are Playing Zombie Tag.” In this poem the author talks about people playing zombie tag at night at Pit her Mountain.

     “In a field under the stars, charging
      And attacking Harley
      Who gutters ghastly
      Moans, his arms dancing
      A mockery of menace and mayhem
      Surrounded in a swirling sea
      of flashlights darting and retreating”

Watkins
     Last night I couldn’t find my phone, I looked all over my house, in every room then I decided that I’d just look for it in the morning. The next morning I woke up and looked around my room then I noticed my phone sitting on my dresser. I thought to myself that wasn’t there this morning but whatever. I picked it up I saw that I had a text from someone named Watkins. I went into my messages and saw the text and it read “Did you find your phone James.”

 The excitement and fun of Windsor mountain

  All  sixty eight graders arrived at school on Wednesday morning at 7:45 ready for the team building trip ahead at Windsor Mountain. We piled onto two busses filled with excitement and energy, an hour and a half later we take a turn onto a dirt road and thats how we knew we were there. There were towering trees on both sides of the road with the occasional house. We pulled up to a small entrance then we were lead down a root filled dirt path which lead to the cabins. The cabin that my advisor had there was ten bunks plus a dirty bathroom and right away I thought this is gonna be a terrible trip.

The excitement and craziness of recess

I am so excited for the good things to come.

     Although on a normal day you only get fifteen minutes of recess it is still the most exciting part of the school day. After everyone’s done talking during all school meeting the fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh graders get to have recess. The eighth and ninth graders have to go to one more class before they get to go to recess. There are so many things to do during recess plus you don’t have to learn anything during that time.
