Ninth Grade

The ninth grade year so far
”It’s fun. It kind of brings a little of excitement to the game.”
SO far my ninth grade experience has been really fun and exciting. One things that’s really important when teaching 14 and 15 year old kid’s is that you have to keep them entertained and engaged. The easiest way is to make sure they’re having fun and so far the teachers have done a really good job about doing that. There are still a few things that I would change about this year so far though.
One thing that I was really looking forward to this year was senior time at the Boonisar’s house. All the ninth graders late year were talking about how much fun it was. When we went up for the first time it was really fun and every was really enjoying themselves but we were only up there for fifteen minutes or so. Since then we haven’t had senior time at the annex again. What I’m suggesting is that the teachers allow us to go to the annex during senior time on Wednesday’s and Friday’s after study hall. Now I understand that may be to much to ask for so if that’s to much then at least on Friday’s we should be able to go to the annex because honestly no one actually does work on a Friday study hall right before sports.
Before we went to Camp Belknap the teachers talked about how every ninth grader signs up for a committee for the year. There were a bunch of options but I chose the athletic committee mainly because I like sports and I think there are a few things we could fix about them at Fenn. I feel like the first meeting with our committees went really well but since then we haven’t meet with them. Ty, Ben and I had some really good ideas to make this year more fun but we haven’t had a chance to talk about how we would follow through on them. There are also committees like the yearbook committee and the class gift committee that have important jobs to make the yearbook for the end of the year and to come up with the class gift. Especially the class gift if it’s something cool or different people will remember it like last year the ninth graders donated two or three canoes for the north campus.
This year has been really fun so far and just with these two changes I’m sure everyone would have even more fun and excitement this year.
